Rochon is a native of her home in the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance she is her parents being Zelma who is a nurse practitioner as well as Samuel Staples, a business owner and graphic artist. Ullerup appeared as Julia Brynn for the first time in Battlestar Galactica: The Remake which aired in 2006 Sci Fi Channel. The actress played Ashley Magnus on the Sanctuary TV series during its initial and second seasons until the show was cancelled. Many fans wanted her back, even though the show was ended. Ullerup was on the show Chesapeake Shores as Bree O'Brien. Ullerup was played by Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas his estranged spouse in Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). In 2016, Ullerup has had a recurring character in the role of Dale Travers in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films series.
